Careers Case Manager – Empowering Postgraduate Trainees in the North West
Join the North West Professional Support and Wellbeing Service (PSW) as a Careers Case Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in guiding and inspiring postgraduate multi-professional trainees as they navigate their career pathways. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with postgraduate trainees who have been referred to the PSW for career-related assistance. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping them explore diverse career options, develop tailored action plans, and access relevant resources and opportunities. Key Responsibilities
As the Careers Case Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering one-on-one careers guidance and coaching sessions – Utilise your expertise to provide structured, evidence-based support that empowers trainees to make confident career choices.
- Facilitating career exploration and action planning – Work collaboratively with trainees to identify their strengths, interests, and long-term goals, then help them create clear, achievable pathways to success.
- Conducting career-focused assessments – Evaluate trainees' progress and adapt your approach to ensure they receive personalised and impactful guidance.
- Signposting to resources and opportunities – Connect trainees with relevant networks, training programs, and professional development initiatives to enhance their career prospects.
- Maintaining confidentiality and accurate records – Ensure all interactions and progress notes are documented meticulously within the PSW SharePoint platform, adhering to strict confidentiality standards.
- Collaborating with PSW Case Managers and the Careers Support Manager – Work seamlessly within the team to align your efforts with broader support initiatives and ensure a cohesive approach to trainee development.
- Engaging in continuous professional development – Pursue a postgraduate qualification in Careers Guidance and participate in ongoing training to stay at the forefront of best practices in career coaching.
